A Legacy Gift is a planned future gift that designates some part of an individual’s estate as a donation to a nonprofit. You do not need to be wealthy to leave a legacy. Make your core values known by making a planned gift. Members of our legacy society are generous and forward-thinking donors who will support our long-term success and be long remembered.
In addition to supporting our work through your generous charitable donation, here are other ways you can contribute to the sustainability of Rolling Readers Space Coast in the long term.

Bequests: One of the easiest ways to help involves simply naming Rolling Readers Space Coast as a beneficiary in your will and living trust. A bequest may be for a particular dollar amount or percentage of your estate.

Life Insurance Policy and Retirement Assets: Often overlooked by donors, naming Rolling Readers Space Coast as a full or partial beneficiary of these assets can provide support for the organization.

Endowment Fund: In partnership with the Community Foundation for Brevard, Rolling Readers Space Coast co-founder Joan Borders established the Joan R. Borders Rolling Readers of the Space Coast Endowment Fund. If you would like to support the long-term success of Rolling Readers Space Coast through this dedicated source of perpetual income, please consider giving to the Joan R. Borders Rolling Readers of the Space Coast Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): Do you know anyone 70 ½ or older with IRA accounts? Instead of taking a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), eligible donors can make a gift from their IRA directly to Rolling Readers Space Coast or the Joan R. Borders Rolling Readers of the Space Coast Endowment Fund as a QCD – tax free.

Legacy society members are revered members of our family. They are also honored with membership to the Rolling Readers Space Coast’s LEGACY CLUB and will receive special perks including but not limited to; Legacy Club recognition at all Rolling Readers Space Coast’s special events, free admission into the special events, books named in your honor, a special plaque honoring your gift and a special Legacy Club newsletter.
